| Ken Murphy is a lifelong resident of Easley SC He was a member of the 1976 Easley High School Upper state Championship basketball team and was a 1988 South Eastern Tennis Champion. Ken was first introduced to fencing by the late fencing champion George Thompson. Ken has been fencing since 2000 and was an organizer for the 2002 National Fencing Championships in Greenville South Carolina. Ken served as an assistant coach on the 2003 and 2004 Junior Epee team that competed in the Georgia State Athletic Games. Ken was also a member of the S.C. Upper state men's epee team that competed in the 2006 National Fencing Championships. Ken is a nationally competitive fencing and very active in the local tournament circuit. He has passed his KOS instructor exam in all three weapons and has a preference for epee. |
