We what can I say.  This
summer has really started off
with a bang.  Ever since I have
been in Charlotte since moving
from NY to start promoting
fencing the summer has been
the slow time of the season until
this year.

We have started the summer
with 17 campers in the sabre
camp and man are they
motivated.  We have drilled them
run them and put them through
the same training that we put the
kids through in New York and
they still want more.  So they are
now signing up for the foil and
the epee camps in order to
make the march to Atlanta next
season.

We feel sorry for the people that
will be standing on the other
side of the strip from them next
year.

I special thanks goes out to the
parents that have housed the
out of town campers and the
assistant coaches and Matt
Parmer for dedicating their
summer time to help them
develop their fencing skills.
Now that we finally have a
competitive group that has the
same level of commitment that
the New York fencers had we
have decided to call this summer
set of camps the Return of the
JEDI.  Starting next season
these campers are looking to hit
a tournament every weekend.
Now that there are tournaments
all over the southeast this is now
a viable goal for our competitive
fencers.  We would like to thank
everyone from making the
Return of the JEDI possible.  It
has been a long time coming
