The four horsemen were created in the 2004-2005 fencing season.  Four of
students at the school made the vow to train, work together and to restore the
honor to the JEDI program.  What began as an idea slowly became a reality.  The
first glimpse of what could be possible was the Sword in the Stone in SC early in
the season.  Later on they would start to dominate not only sabre tournaments in
the local area but also they started to collect the medals in foil and epee.  It was at
the state championships (our divisionals) that the now immortal words "and the
angels wept" would become their moniker.  Not only did the Four horsemen
dominate the sabre events but they would also walk away with the gold and the
bronze in the epee events.  After divisionals the stories of the four horsemen
started to take the form of legend in all the fencing schools of the Knights of Siena.
It was then a remarkable thing happened, everyone in all the schools started to
train harder, faster and with more determination then we have ever seen before.
Then magic truck three times at US Nationals in Sacramento.  The horsemen
would medal not once but 3 TIMES!  Bobby Z. would make history by defeating the
fencer favored to win the Div1A saber event M. Kolasa (2nd on the U19 points list
and 21 on the senior points list and earn his A coming in 3rd.  Not to be out done
his brother Kevin would then defeat Primus from the Westbrook foundation and
come in 3rd in the Div 3.
Now the idea of the four horsemen is a earned position in the Knights of Siena
history and is now a ranked position of honor within our organizaion  The top four
fencing JEDI in all three weapons earn the position of one of the horsemen.  At the
beginning of the season the horsemen are chosen.  Once chosen they will ride
forth and carry the honor of the JEDI program and the legend of past horsemen.
Into the thick of battle they ride and everytime they compete and win we will sing
their chorus that we have all come to know and love at KOS.
