Hammy led the charge by earning his E08 in epee in the very hard A4 epee event. Next, Fry and Gabe stunned and upset many sabre fencers by making the top 8 and top 4 respectively in the mixed sabre event. We got to attend an awesome seminar given by Ivan Lee on modern sabre techniques. I was really refreshing to learn about a lot of things that we have been seeing and training with at the academies from a different view point. We wish him luck in his new teaching career. Finally, to cap off the weekend Karen has now been appointed as an FOC examiner here in the SE. Trust me when I say she is very exicited and ready to recruit and train a lot of referees! |
